RED ONE DIGITAL
The Red One is the Lamborghini of video cameras and gives movie makers the best of both worlds. It delivers the ease of use and editing flexibility provided by digital cinema cameras. Simultaneously, the Red’s resolution and colour fidelity rival that of 35mm film and it allows the same kind of control over focus, and like HD and 2k digital, it’s cheap.
The Red’s detail is stupefying, the colours are rich and sensual, the imagery is jaw dropping and it threatens to make 35mm film obsolete.
Directors Peter Jackson snapped up three of the Red Ones.
Steven Soderbergh (The Informant, Che Guevara); Doug Liman (Jumper) and Peter Hyams (Beyond) have all shot their features with Reds.
